Hello Fellow Ecommerce Classmates!

This is my third class on my way to a Masters in International Marketing. I've been out of school for quite some time making my way in the business world. I just started a new job as Director, Technical Marketing for Quest Diagnostics. Some of you may be familiar with this laboratory company if you ever had a blood test done through your doctor's office.

I have a science/medical technology background and started out with a hospital laboratory career 23 years ago. I knew that I was very interested in the business side and that the career path in the laboratory was basically non-existent. So after 8 years, I left to move to a small diagnostic manufacturing company. I moved to progressively bigger companies, This led to my last role as Worldwide Director of Marketing with Ortho Clnical Diagnostics, a Johnson and Johnson company also in the laboratory diagnostics field.

I almost started my Masters many times but "work" always got in the way. I'm really hoping I can successfully manage on-boarding with a new job and the work load at BU. As all of you who try to balance full time work, school and families know, this is a tough road for the next two years.

Steady steps forward will get us to the end goal!
Jacquie

  1. Hi Jacquie!
Welcome to the online program at Boston University!
My work too often got in the way, hence why it has taken me 4 years to complete a 2 year program! But, even with the stops, I am still almost done! The feeling of accomplishment at the end is really worth it. Keep at it, even if you need to take a break, always plan to come back and one day you will be one class away from that piece of paper!

  2. HI Jacquie!
It also took me about 3 years to finally decide to pursue my masters. I find that BU has great programs but like you said, it is a lot of work.

I look forward to work with you in class!

  3. Jacquie-

Welcome to Ecommerce from a fellow Augustan (GA that is). I enjoyed reading your blog and feel for you from your four & half hour flight. I do like the color of your blog but would add that you move your About Me profile above your Blog List, otherwise just add a picture or two and you're done. Good luck in the class!
