So today we had a sr. management update at work. I have responsibility for Continueing Medical Education (CME) for our hospital side of the business. I mentioned that I'm exploring using our plethora of MDs and PhDs to feed a blog to drive awareness around certain disease states and provide new diagnostic information to clinical practioners.
Well, everyone got very excited and started asking all kinds of questions. It was all very positive and I thought a great tribute to the wonderful information we are learning in this class! Now I just need to add that to my list of "to do's"!
Anyone want an e-marketing job in NJ? :)

Traffic on a Friday night stinks!
So I just got off a 4.5 hour flight from California to NJ and traffic stinks! I've got a cold, it's raining and my limo driver from the airport is complaining about the traffic! I'm sorry- I thought you DROVE for a LIVING?!
My son just came home for college for Spring break and I can't wait to see him!!
Sorry for my rant- I just want to be HOME!
Happy Friday all!

Hello Fellow Ecommerce Classmates!
This is my third class on my way to a Masters in International Marketing. I've been out of school for quite some time making my way in the business world. I just started a new job as Director, Technical Marketing for Quest Diagnostics. Some of you may be familiar with this laboratory company if you ever had a blood test done through your doctor's office.
I have a science/medical technology background and started out with a hospital laboratory career 23 years ago. I knew that I was very interested in the business side and that the career path in the laboratory was basically non-existent. So after 8 years, I left to move to a small diagnostic manufacturing company. I moved to progressively bigger companies, This led to my last role as Worldwide Director of Marketing with Ortho Clnical Diagnostics, a Johnson and Johnson company also in the laboratory diagnostics field.
I almost started my Masters many times but "work" always got in the way. I'm really hoping I can successfully manage on-boarding with a new job and the work load at BU. As all of you who try to balance full time work, school and families know, this is a tough road for the next two years.
Steady steps forward will get us to the end goal!
